When people ask where I grew up, I do the thing where I hold up a hand and point to the pinky to represent the part of Michigan I was raised in. But that’s not really accurate.
I grew up watching the sun fall from the sky into Lake Michigan. I grew up chasing crescent moons above some untarnished patch of forest.
